After graduating high school in 1996, Dan Simons decided to serve his country by joining the U.S. Air Force. His goal was to become a Law Enforcement airman. After being honorably discharged from his military career, he transitioned into the civilian world to look for work. At 27 years of age, he started college at Angelina Junior College. He later transferred to Sam Houston State University where he graduated number 1 out of 1,108 students. He went on to attend the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and later to the University of Houston for his Masters in Tax Law. He has served as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County and is now working at Thiessen Law Firm as a criminal defense attorney.
