John Clinton earned a B.S. in criminal justice from the University of Houston in 1991 and went on to receive his J.D. from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1995. He was elected to the position in 2010 and was re-elected in 2014. This Pasadena native spent 30 years as a Houston police officer and has been recognized by groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for his work teaching youth about the dangers of alcohol and driving.
